@rachcreatesflow: A little over a year ago I joined the gym… and honestly, the hardest part wasn’t the workouts—it was the guilt. I didn’t want to miss a single moment with my son. But over time I realized choosing myself wasn’t taking from him. It was giving him a healthier, stronger, more confident mom. I choose me for him. 💪✨ #workingmom #momfitness #fitmomlife #momconfidence #momtok

This video might look like a simple moment between two sisters doing a puzzle… but to me, it means so much more. 🤍 I left my parents’ home when I was 14 to pursue my dream of becoming a high-level athlete, eight hours away from my family. My little sister was born a year later. So, as painful as it is to admit, I have never truly lived with her. I only get to see her for a few weeks each year, during the summer and Christmas holidays. Whenever I return to France, I try to spend as much time with her as possible to play, laugh, talk, get to know her, and give her the chance to truly know her big sister. During those few weeks, we become inseparable… and then the time always comes for me to return to Canada. She cries for days, and I leave with a heavy heart, thinking about everything I have missed. She is about to turn nine. For nine years, this sweet little human who has the same energy and outgoing personality as me has been part of my life. Sometimes, it feels like I have lost those years with her, knowing I will never be able to get them back. If I could have done things differently, I think I would have. But I am learning to remind myself that distance does not mean a lack of love. Even though I did not grow up by her side, I will always be her big sister. Every moment we share, no matter how simple, is infinitely precious to me. I cannot get back the time we missed, but I can fully cherish all the time we still have ahead of us. My little sister, I will always be here for you, even from thousands of miles away. 🤍 #sisterlove #longdistancefamily #familyfirst #bigsisterlove #lifeabroad
