Actually I was secure. I found myself with an avoidant and now I’m dealing with anxious attachment.

"the fear isnt that other people will leave, its you won't be able to handle life if they do" 🤯 just blew my mind 🤯

separately, some anxious attachments are created because those annoying avoidants dont communicate properly. which therefore leaves unnecessary "feedback loops" open. its our minds natural way of trying to close/ solve puzzle and they jus rage bait us that its so annoying 🙄

I was never like this until I got into a relationship with a narcissist. His inconsistency and gaslighting created this situation

This book feels like forbidden clarity. When Anxiety Loses Interest by Teya Dray explained anxiety in a way that made my symptoms stop arguing with me. I don’t know how else to describe it.

HAILE | Attachment Coach :
This is such a profound perspective on how the very traits that make us successful in our careers and fitness can actually sabotage our romantic lives. It is a massive breakthrough to realize that anxious attachment isn't about caring too much, but rather about an unhealthy relationship with uncertainty and a lack of self-trust. Transitioning from the language of survival—fear and control—to the language of thriving through internal safety is exactly how you stop the cycle of shape-shifting just to be liked. Building a life where you are the center, rather than your partner, is the ultimate way to teach your nervous system that you can handle life no matter what happens. When we stop obsessing over others and start pouring that energy back into our own community and skills, we finally create that internal safety where a partner is just a benefit to our overflow. Thank you for this masterclass in uncooking the habits that keep so many people stuck in survival mode.

I am autistic and grew up in an emotionally and physically violent setting. Working on un cooking. Got triggered by my ex and put that projection on a crush it made for a bad day. I rested my nervous system and remembered I’m not that person anymore 🥰

Totally learning to self regulate in uncertainty, finding acceptance in being a flawed messy human, accepting others being messy as well, building bridges and knowing that I am safe even when external conséquences are a little rough 🥺✨

omg thanks. I've been healing for almost a year now. and I wanted to see where I progress now. Hearing you say that we're not really scared of them leaving but how to handle life when they leave, says something about myself. I just blocked my avoidant a few weeks ago, now I'm having anxiety attacks, because I think I hurt him and I think I won't ever heal, but I did think I made the right choice and as you mentioned my unhealthy relationship with uncertainty, it's eating me alive that's why I'm doing everything to heal myself and slowly I've been having less reactive when I hear his name. I'm slowly healing chat this is because I found that there's life after my avoidant😭
