@elephantssintheroom: My recovering drug addict mom got pregnant at 15 after getting taken advantage of @Kimberly Mitchell #addiction #adoptionstory #teenpregnancy
Please tell your mom she doesn’t need my words but as a fellow daughter of a former addict who hasn’t had reconciliation yet (god willing) I AM SO PROUD OF HER! It takes a LOT of humility and vulnerability and strength to share these things and to see the err of your ways but also the human in you. She did the best she could with what she had/knew at the time and now she can heal which will heal parts of you too. POWERFUL STUFF! 🙌🏻❣️🥹

That pain is so much. My mother suffered so much too. So have I. Adoption isn’t safe.

I so clearly see the little girl in her… my mom passed before she could fully heal and reconcile- this is a gift ♥️

I must say that your mom is doing great work by sharing her life story! Only 2 years sober but she's being honest about her life, flaws and mistakes, it's beyond admirable 💜 I'm kinda in awe of her and this interview because this perspective is so important but the courage and self introspection that is needed for this story is more than most people have. Great job and I hope you both take care of yourself after this, because I can imagine it was alot! 💜

Your mother. Is THE strongest mother I know. I hope she now has the relief and financial ability to have the time and and resources to heal in peace while being on this side of heaven. Please let us know if she isn’t there yet. Her story. Her healing. Will save so many MOMS…Especially those in her generation.

In this very moment, I want nothing more than for your mother to know that she is love. And so deeply loved.

I would give ANYTHING to have a hard conversation with my mom. We are strangers because of our trauma.
