No hate or disrespect but I’d feel embraced if someone or a brand felt inspired by my culture. I have Mi Casa Su Casa on my front of my house… I’m not Spanish? I dine at an Italian restaurant owned by an Indian family. I think it’s beautiful that Australia is so diverse and celebrate each others cultures. I want to understand where this person went wrong when we loosely use words and phrases from around the world? Can I no longer make hangi and speak Māori in fear of offending someone? Or adopt any cultural traditions outside of my own?
