In the UK a café is a fancy, snobby, more of a coffee shop place, where as a cafe, pronounced “caff” which is more of greasy spoon cafe or as you put it a workman’s cafe

Yeah can see they're catering grade sausages right off the bat and that is a good sign. Don't get me wrong I like a posho fryup too with actual meat in the sausages, but a greasy spoon, nah.
