From personal experience, I did a -1200 calorie deficit for 12 days and lost 11lbs. Strength remained the same. I’m not gonna spend the next 4-5 months (at a 500 calorie deficit) trying to lose weight when I can do it in 1-2 weeks.

Jeff - just wanted to come on here and say like a lot of us how sorry we are for your loss. Stephanie was such a bright light in the fitness community. Bro I’m on a 1000 deficit 😩 losing 1kg a week consistently and been gaining strength week by week. I’m 11kg down at 81kg now. I was made to believe as long as I’m on 2g protein per kilo and gaining strength I should be fine for muscle maintenance
