@aaron.the.rn: Sometimes at the start of my shift—when I see how much care my patients need— the pre-shift anxiety hits hard. Sometimes I fear I won’t be able to handle it. Sometimes I fear I’ll make a mistake so big it could cost my license. Sometimes I fear I won’t be able to keep my cool and I’ll snap at my coworkers. Sometimes I fear I’ll disappoint my patients. And sometimes… I fear I might harm someone through my actions. “God, I’m walking into a shift where one mistake could cost someone’s life” But this is what I’ve learned: I don’t walk into my shift alone. I surrender my fears. And I trust that the Lord will make a way—even when I can’t see it yet. 📖 “When I am afraid, I put my trust in You.” — Psalm 56:3 Today, I just finished six shifts straight.
