@ames.elite.fitness: This is Killing your shoulders. Most people think the Military Press is a shoulder-builder, but if your elbows are flared out, you could be doing more harm than good. “Impingement trap” When your elbows flare, you lose the natural rotation of the scapula, leading to that sharp, pinching pain that sidelines your progress. The Fix: Keep those elbows tucked in closer to the body. This allows the shoulder joint to rotate naturally through the scapula, making the movement efficient, powerful, and—most importantly—pain-free. Whether you’re doing a standard overhead press or hitting the incline bench, the rule remains: Tuck, don’t flare. #militarypress #OverheadPress #InjuryPrevention #ShoulderWorkout #amesiowa

that press is so easy going to me. I just do it with 15 or 20lb. It feels more comfortable than the shoulder press machine, I think. Tho my gym has an incline shoulder press it feels like a mix of chest and shoulder press

If it'll destroy your shoulders unless you use perfect mechanics then it's a bad exercise. I'm trusting the shoulder surgeon over the personal trainer

I flared my elbow too many times and I've been aching between my left shoulder and bicep for months. Hopefully this corrects it

Once I pulled elbow in my shoulders responded immediately. This is a great way to still do a great shoulder exercise.

I find kettlebells are better for keeping good form and stacking over the shoulder.
