You need extender on outlets because of the wall covering. I just had to do it to mine as I couldn’t pass inspection. I think it’s a fire hazard … not sure

on any wall covering, you have to remove covers to electric outlet to get measurements for the outlet. After wall covering is installed, replace outlet cover over the hole. The receptacle cover will then cover the whole hole. OR, you need the make the hole in your wall covering smaller than the receptacle cover...
