The objects start out with a green piece of paper, her face covered by the green shaded mask that Kyle wears now, it foreshadows that he will forget her face. In the picture her face is blurred because he’s forgotten what it looks like. The objects they are still familiar to Kyle because it is what he remembers her by, but as the video goes on the objects become random, not related to Alex. He’s forgotten her identity now. Only for ‘her’ to appear at last but look so different, as shown by the question marks, like an uncanny valley effect. And the Alex in Kyle’s memories to be replaced by this artificial version. It is both a blessing and a curse, because he finally remembers her face but it is not his Alex. Except that ‘she’ is all he has left, if he forgets her face too then he’s lost his chance at reconnecting to Alex’s memory. So in the final second the picture fades; he will just have to accept this phoney dupe
