@dratillasengor: What does acute sinusitis actually look like inside the nose? At the request of international patients, I prepared the English version of this endoscopic case. You can clearly see the purulent discharge draining from the middle meatus and flowing into the nasopharynx — this is why postnasal drip can feel thick, sticky, and so uncomfortable. In many cases, acute bacterial sinusitis can be diagnosed directly with a nasal endoscope, without immediately relying on imaging. Under endoscopic guidance, we can also provide temporary relief by carefully suctioning the accumulated secretions. Postnasal drip has many causes — acute sinusitis is just one of them.
