RetroPod is a great app to mimic the iPod. Run it in pinned mode. Done.

I personally think it's worth buying the Snowsky Echo Mini. older phones don't have that great audio chips, which can result in music that sounds not so good and after some time it becomes tiring. the Snowsky Echo Mini on the other end has great sound quality, a storage that can be upgraded to 256GB and a small, simple design of an old cassette. it's great for travel and you'll find yourself using it very often, especially if you go outside a lot and don't want to constantly carry your phone around everywhere. it supports bluetooth and for around $60, it's definitely worth it. but hey, that's just my opinion

i didnt buy the echo mini for nostalgia, i bought it for sound quality (and bc flac files took up half my phone storage)

I got an iPod a month or so ago and while it is nice, the lack of Bluetooth has caused so much friction. This solution is way better, especially if you have an Android phone laying around

I prefer MP3 players for the sake of having better audio chips. Both my phone and laptop have terrible audio chips and Spotify doesn't really give the best quality either 🥀

The point for me is not about nostalgia, I hate tapping on my phone screen, and in my car to tap the infotainment screen, and then to work to tap on tablet screen, tired of tapping on screens, I miss physical real buttons.
