The issue is that people love to judge an ideology on misinformation that they have been told by government or indoctrinated people, or on the oppressive and greedy people that have bastardised said ideology. You judge an ideology on ITS PRINCIPLES. The core belief of capitalism is continuous exponential growth; this system is NOT POSSIBLE to maintain without the mass exploitation of the earth itself and its inhabitants. EVERY SINGLE ARGUMENT against any form of socialism or communism that I have seen online is a LITERAL projection of what is happening RIGHT NOW under capitalism. They have made you believe that everything that isn’t capitalism is the boogeyman.

I think we are forgetting the attempts during the Paris commune and in Germany. yes they didn't succeed, and that should be discussed. It's simply clear that imperialist powers are at their weakest OUTSIDE the imperial core

You’re incorrect. The bolsheviks agreed with socialism with one country due to the defeat of revolutions in other parts of Europe, Stalin didn’t recreate the Russian empire. Was he a tzar? Where in the Russian empire were minorities given their own countries and self determination? Also, revolutions did happen in Western Europe, they were just defeated by revisionist social democratic politicians allying with the right wing (Germany). There was also revolutionary movements in Austria Hungary what became Yugoslavia and ofc France (Paris commune). Karl Marx was right in that socialism would be the dominant ideology of the working class, what he did not foresee was his name and works being used to propagate social democracy and anti revolutionary ideology. This is why while socialists were the majority in France Germany and Britain the countries didn’t change.
