I’m feeling a little dense, but I don’t understand how you can show up on June 15 and say no and lose your right to ever have MAID but you have also said that you can move the date. Up until what point can you move the date?

She had lots of awareness until she didn’t🙁 She hid a pill that she wanted to take when things got too bad. But then one day she woke up and had forgotten about the pill😢

I’ve been through this with my mother in law. She barely made it to Dignitas in Switzerland. She should have gone sooner. The will to live is strong and will take over as soon as your discernment slips. And it slips fast. Hugs. I’m sorry you’re in this.

Former Dementia Care Aide here with a question. What if on the day of MAID you aren’t cognitively aware of what’s happening and you become aggressive, as anyone would in that kind of situation. Hope it’s OK to ask that. 🥰

My mom was diagnosed at 60 and passed at 65. I was lucky enough to be able to care for her with the help of hospice to the end, but it was AWFUL at the end stage. Sending all my light and love and you’re so brave. I know I’m going to have it to and I too will have a plan. ✌️🫶

June 15th would be my mom’s 69th bday- she was a strong supporter of MAID and I wish so badly that we had been given the gift to make that choice. bless you on your journey.

We missed the window with my mom to work with MAID and we are in the thick of it. It’s been very difficult for our family. She has no awareness of what is going on. We are in moderate/severe stage.
