when my mom passed when I was 22, I was completely left speechless at how expensive a funeral is. my mom was cremated and it still in just a plain black box because it's all we afford. she would be so upset to be in such an ugly thing 🥀

her go fund me, which is just as dystopian, is at $17k out of $20k (she needs money for a custody lawyer to get custody of her brother too). thankfully people are showing up. no one should be in the position that she was put into but at least people are helping somehow.
