Many vet clinics offer ink paw and/or nose prints on cardstock when a pet is euthanized—often at no extra cost. It’s worth asking at your next visit if they provide this, so you’ll know ahead of time whether they’ll do it or if you have to make one at home. (Clay prints are usually done by the cremation company so they almost always cost extra.)

I got my girls paw prints and nose prints the second she was diagnosed with bladder cancer (rare to survive). It was the most emotional thing at the time but I’m so so grateful I did it.
