Things I’ve Done :
We camped at grant grove for a week. It was spectacular! In the park. Great location to see everything kings canyon is right there lodge pole is only about an hour away as well.

I appreciate your detailed information as well as up front letting people know they can't disperse camp inside the park. So many videos about "this sweet hidden spot" that's inside the park.. Nice video!

you can camp inside both parks for free. it's a little more time and work. you have to get a pct permit and start hiking from the Mexican border.
