YES. Like when they’re throwing a fit about something, instead of arguing or escalating, giving them a choice (with options that make sense for whatever you’re trying to accomplish) and they still think they’re winning!

Or letting them choose within reason, like I used to tell my husband (when our kids were younger) you can’t ask them if they want to get dressed (in the morning etc etc) but you can pick two outfits out and they can choose between those two.
