I had a similar issue with my Dixie chopper it was a safety switch and it would do it part of the time like u mentioned. It ain’t terrible to fix

Might be the battery. If not fully charged the one I use does that.

pto switch or seat switch. If the blades engage and the motor bogs down acting like its going to die either a spindle is seized or the electric pto went out. we have had the electric pto go out causing it to completely cut the motir

If u engage the blades with the handles out it will die . Or your seat sensor could be faulty

It’s a typical zero turn thing honestly I’d just idle up the RPM’s a little higher before engaging the blades and make sure you’re not in thick grass when you engage them. You got a good deal it seems! Enjoy your nice mower
