@tinukeawe: Hey 👋🏾 I’m Tinuke and I’ve been posting on here for the last 4 years. Recently my engagement has been pants and I want to reconnect with my audience and find my tribe once again so if this resonates with you - give me a follow!!! P.S. my daughter was upset because she wanted to take an uber to school. Typical 😂 #motherhood

When I tell women to step into their queen energy, I want to be very clear about what I mean. A queen is a woman who governs herself. She does not abandon herself to keep somebody else comfortable. She has self-respect. She trusts herself. And she does not hand the responsibility for determining her worth to a man, a relationship, her appearance, her children, her job, or anybody else’s approval. She can consider what is good for her family and her community without believing that being a good woman requires sacrificing herself for everyone in it. She can be fair. Compassionate. Generous. Decisive. Strong. And none of those things require her to surrender her softness. She can love flowers and fashion and beautiful things. She can wear the dress and the lipstick and the heels. Or she can hate all of those things. Because women get to define our own femininity. Femininity does not mean obedience. It does not mean passivity. It does not mean making yourself smaller so somebody else can feel bigger. And I know something about the strength of the female body. I’ve given birth to five children. Many women’s bodies menstruate month after month, experience enormous hormonal changes throughout puberty, pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause and menopause, and continue functioning through all of it. Estrogen and progesterone literally rise and fall throughout the menstrual cycle. That’s normal female physiology — not evidence that women are irrational or incapable. So when somebody tries to convince you that femininity means fragile, weak, submissive or incapable of leadership? No. Femininity can be soft and formidable. You don’t have to become harder to become stronger. You have to stop confusing self-abandonment with womanhood. That is what I mean when I tell you to become the queen of your own life. #SelfRespect #WomenEmpoweringWomen #Feminism #deconstruction #queenenergy
