It is so heartbreaking to see your child going through this, I’m so sorry 😞 Anyone on here with a child with OCD symptoms, please look into PANS PANDAS if you don’t already know about it. I’m not saying that your child has this, but just worth looking at if you haven’t already. All 3 of my children have had this and sudden onset of severe OCD symptoms happens to them with each flare up. This can go on for months on end, especially if they aren’t treated for each flare up. Their flare ups also come with severe anxiety/ panic attacks, sensory issues, tics & eating issues among other things. Again, I’m not saying this applies to your son, but I always feel I should mention it as a possibility as so few people are aware of it, including medical professionals sadly. ❤️

my daughter has OCD and it's not just cleansing it's whole range of things she has to do and it hurts to see cos it frustrates her so much and wonders why she's like that she can't even attend school as it effects her day to day life

My son has OCD worse when he was younger it took over his life, I got him hypnotherapy and eventually it stopped, he does does the odd thing now at 18 but nothing major
