I have the 1st one shown and 100% true. also the pad thing always has a gap so litter gets under it and makes it stink. once a week im taking it apart, cleaning it, and right back to it again the next week.

I have the first litter box being talked bad about and I do not have these issues. I have 7 cats and 2 of those litter boxes. I have had mine a year and I have not taken it apart once to clean it. the most I've done is a light wipe down.

for the first one, get a slightly more expensive litter and don't let it get above the maximum or below the minimum for litter levels. and you do have to clean it like monthly, but that's way better than other options

I have the first one and it smears so bad!!! and my male cat flings so much litter out. not to mention is tosses out so much litter that is still usable. huge waste

honestly Its a problem but I clean my automatic litterbox occasionally so eh idk ... I'll take the price over the small occasional inconvenience.

I have 2 of the first one and yes, it does fall on the floor at times but I definitely like the better than the cat genie and the robot one. id like to try this one though, does it work all online? cause thats what I like about the pet pivot is its not online active
