I did security for 10 years and I saw so many guys who took it way too seriously and wanted to be cops! At the end of the day security is to detour crime! Period! When it does occur we observe and report (collect details by observation) and call 911 aka authorities. Then they arrive we will then represent the shopping center etc etc. we show up to the court date and testify.

Stop putting armed security guards at retail stores... if the stuff is not worth stopping criminals that you'd fire an employee stopping them, but your ok with armed security killing the robber???
