With me, that is why I go to the gym and train as hard as I do. I know that it is not 100% guarantee to fix the problem. In 2017, my wife and I nearly came to the end of our marriage. We both had to want to make the change. I pray for the healing in your marriage.

Our Federal Government recently increased our benefit amount for counselling significantly for us, (the employee working in the institution) as well as for our family members, as there is a significant body of research that shows how much depression, anxiety, PTSD and suicide attempts arise from working in this environment; and that this trickles over into our family members as well who try to support us, know or worry about the risks associated with the job, and end up being the leaning post for those who do struggle. I agree Cindy, counselling for both would be extremely beneficial. However, If he’s not ready yet, even counselling for her to get the support she needs and maybe an understanding of what he is going through as well would be very helpful. Back when COVID was first starting I started to experience the worst case of anxiety that I had ever experienced in my life due to some things that occurred within the institution at that time. I tried to keep going and ignore it until I no longer could. I had a peer say to me the one day “you know why they tell you to put your own oxygen mask on first when an airplane is going down? It’s because you will be no good to someone else until you first take care of you. You need to put yours on now”. Right then and there, I made an appt with my doctor. She may need to do the same to protect herself before trying to help him, if/when he’s willing to get help ❤️

😔 I understand where she is coming from COMPLETELY. Hubby was in law enforcement for 16 years - it was so hard. He’s been out of that for 7 years now & is working at our local steel mill - 10000 times better for us financially & for our marriage 💚

The mass majority of CO’s have a level of depression. It sucks. I started in 2010 by 2011 I was on antidepressants. Had to lay it down in 2017 due to medical issues.

My grandpa was a leo for years not sure of an exact number. The depression is real he chose self delete in 2022. None of us understand
