The things I like in fiction are not always things I even approve of in real life. The purity police are absolutely allowed to police themselves, but they need to quit being a wet blanket to everyone, especially when it’s something that doesn’t involve actual real living beings getting harmed.

People need to separate fantasy from reality. It's one thing to have fantasies you enjoy like your Rogue's tragic orphan backstory which led them to a life of crime. That doesn't mean you want your parents to ⚰️in real life. Same goes for romance stories.

agree, i read a lot of historical romance manhwas and I've enjoyed reading about situations that i wouldnt enjoy in real life in a real relationship 😅 same with problematic relationships, their story is fun to read, but if they were my friends boyfriend i would be like "girl get out of there" 🤷♀️the difference is that in the story despite the red flags everything turns out fine and the problematic person changes, and theyre happy ever after, which tbh doesnt happen much in real life so i think thats why it feels different lol
