Imo.. this book isn't as serious as people make it seem. Yes, it's written in despair and had a depressing feeling to it, but it's narrative is just very Nihilistic. Personally I can't relate to Yozo and i despise him. He's not only trying to decieve the book's other carracters but also the readers.

Loved this book but now that I read it and you relate to yozo I am concerned for you ngl😀✋ yozo whole life has been one of shame yes but in the sense that he did that to himself (not the case in childhood) and when he had the chance at happiness it was either never enough or he believed he was just so different from everyone else and didn’t deserve it and he’s not a reliable narrator in my humble opinion
