its also so that the hanging strings dont touch any of the food or drinks as that is a health hazard. When I wore my apron at work i used to tie it in the front just tucked under

Quick tip:fold the top over like in half then do your tie then bring the top back up. Tie last longer that way

Most places have that rule. I used to work at a bakery and we did this because it’s a safety and health hazard to have the strings hanging.

This has never made sense to me. I worked at McDonald’s and cannot tell you how many times the back tie got caught on a bun rack, cup dispenser, ketchup gun (yes it was a big mess), walk-in handle, box, and one time someone’s headset (better not to ask about that one)

This is the way Cracker Barrel aprons HAVE to be tied, and yeah, it’s weird at first but honestly it is the “one best way” just like the policy say lol.

I work at cracker barrel, and they make us tie it in the front under the apron. and if you want it like super extra tight, put it through your belt loops and then tie it there

tucking it under is still a hazard, it makes it harder for someone to take your apron off you in an emergency. had a colleague at Starbucks dump an entire urn of freshly brewed coffee on herself, and it melted the clothes to her skin bc no one could get her apron off fast enough. she had scarring all over the front of her torso
