@thereptilezoo: Feeding these magnificent, gentle giants is one of my favorite things. 🐘💕 While they gently take the bananas and cucumbers, you might notice a waterfall coming from one of their trunks. That drool happens because an elephant's trunk is like a built-in straw and a hand, all in one! They use it to grab food and suck up water to drink. When they smell something tasty, they can start to salivate in anticipation, and all that extra spit has to go somewhere... right out their trunks! It just means the fruit is really good and they are eager to eat. Hanging out with these giants is the best, even with the occasional splash zone! 😄
