@drtracyverrico: GLP-1s might be doing more than we thought. We’re starting to see emerging research suggesting GLP-1 medications may help lower the risk of certain cancers, especially some gynecologic cancers. Early data also shows promising links between GLP-1s and reduced inflammation, which could benefit people living with conditions like endometriosis, fibroids, and even autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis. Now we still need more research (science takes time). But the early findings are encouraging and highlight something important: when we reduce inflammation in the body, we often see ripple effects across overall health. The takeaway? GLP-1s may be doing more behind the scenes than just supporting metabolic health, and we’re only beginning to understand their full potential. Curious about the newest research or wondering if GLP-1 therapy is right for you? Drop your questions below.

I didn’t realize how inflamed my entire body was before. All my adipose tissue was literally hard. I have lost a lot of weight but the reduction of inflammation has also made me smaller than I was when I was a lower weight than I am now.

I’m on one and my MS has never stayed this great for this long. I’ve lost 80 pounds and I’m sure the first 50-60 pounds were all inflammation.
