Hmmm…you are admiring that, but if you live in Houston city limits and own a house you are paying yearly taxes for your house that includes Houston Ship Channel Port and that so called medical center that people like brag about.

Did they dig a different channel ? Because I worked on that channel. And the Houston skyline was east not north. But that was a very long time ago.

Buffalo bayou is the Houston ship channel. It runs through Houston. The ship channel ENDS at WAYSIDE

That doesn’t look like ship channel, but what people don’t realize is it more than 1 port. I have the container ports to in la port Barbourbors cut and Bayport, u have Jacinto port and it’s one more but I forgot the name

use to go the Houston 🚢 channel and pick up rebar and coils plate lumber for Gonz transportation in south Houston and for lumber 🪵 pickup for the company of Boise Cascade and Bison 🦬 in Conroe TX a whole bunch of companies last time in there was like in 2010 or 2012 because in 2013 i left Houston for the RGV 💯👍

I remember 1974 I was down the concrete dock it was taking a long time I have a pallet of Coca-Cola that a ship wanted. I'll pull a pallet off my truck and I hand loaded 72 cases of Cokes that they wanted they went crazy they are union no one on the docks can do work but union workers they went absolutely crazy. thought to kiss my butt I left a pallet of cokes there got my butt chewed out when I got back to the plant.
