I really hope you both see this... please, if you haven't already, seek out therapy that specializes in traumatic birth/pregnancy. Process these feelings now. Don't wait. Your feelings are real and VERY valid. A lot of people feel guilt for feeling angry, disappointed, depressed, etc because they feel like they should JUST feel happy and grateful that baby is here and the prognosis is good. ALL of these feelings can be true at the same time. Feel them and work through them. Jessi, your body has been through SO much. Give yourself time and grace to heal. Its clear that your prayers and all of ours are being heard. Lorenzo is a beautiful miracle 💓 take the time now to heal yourselves. So much love and prayers for you!!

Just be positive :

As a Nicu nurse I remember being on the baby-receiving end. I remember only concentrating on the baby and never really thought about what is going on in that moment with the parents. It was eye opening -how little acts of kindness make it bearable for parents. Thank you for sharing your story.
