….you pan-fry the meatloaf patties for 7 minutes instead!😉 Here’s a cooking hack for those who love meatloaf but don’t have the time! Simply form meatloaf mixture into 1/4-cup patties and pan-fry! Bonus: no more fighting for the “end-piece”! Every bite is crusty and caramelized! Enjoy.☺️ Mama’s Quick and Easy Meatloaf Patties Ingredients: (Meat patties/ meatloaf) 1.5 lbs ground beef 1 onion, finely chopped 1 egg 1 tsp garlic powder 1 cup crushed Ritz crackers or breadcrumbs 1 cup milk Salt & pepper to taste (Glaze) 1/3 cup ketchup 1/3 cup sweet chili sauce 2 Tbsps mustard
Steps: In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients for the meat patties. Mix well. Use a measuring cup to form round patties, about 1/4 cup each. Heat oil over medium in skillet. Add patties into the hot pan. Gently press down patties to make them about 0.5” thick, 3”diameter. Pan fry patties for 3 minutes or till golden. Turn and pan fry for another 2 minutes. In a bowl, combine ketchup, sweet chili sauce and mustard. Pour 2/3 glaze in pan. Cook for 1- 2 minutes. Turn patties and coat both sides with glaze. Remove from skillet. Optional: drizzle more glaze over meat patties. Enjoy! Steps for traditional meatloaf: Grease a 9”x5” loaf pan. Preheat oven to 375°F. In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients for the meatloaf. Mix well. Pack meat mixture into the loaf pan. In a bowl, combine ketchup, sweet chili sauce and mustard. Mix well and spread 2/3 over top of meat mixture.
Bake for 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160˚F. Rest meatloaf for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve with remaining glaze. Enjoy!
