@mammmakim: I had an appointment for a CT scan of my lungs at #UCLA yesterday. This was my first time actually walking into the hospital. April of 2025 I was airlifted there suffering from ARDS and cardiogenic shock after aspirating during a surgery. This was the only hospital that had the kind of life support needed to save my life. I went into cardiac arrest four times before the helicopter touched ground and spent the next 3 weeks in a coma. They didn't think I was going to survive and told my family to prepare for the worst. When I woke up, I found out both my feet had died along with several fingers which eventually, caused multiple amputations. I spent the next three months hospitalized on ECMO, dialysis and a ventilator. In addition to necrotic feet and fingers, I now have necrotic spots on my lungs that will never go away. UCLA Cardiothoracic ICU saved my life. I wish I could have walked up to the 7th floor to show the nurses that because of them, I am alive and walking again. I hope one day I can thank them in person. If anyone on here can get me in, hook your girl up! Do your thing Tiktok! #amputee #bilateralamputee #ecmosurvivor #fyp
