Of course not, but as a leading online voice on the left, it surely doesn’t help. The system is broken, the whole “pick the lesser of two evils” mindset sucks, but it’s what we have to deal with and I think it would be helpful if he didn’t completely dissuade people

Most people don’t even know if their views are progressive or conservative. Polling shows that progressive ideas like Medicare for all etc are very popular.

Completely agree, democracy is not functioning as it should when people are repeatedly voting for the lesser of two evils. There needs to be a candidate who represents the needs of the people, not the needs of billionaires.

Sure, I really don’t have a dog in this fight however I will say I think the reason people are mad is because if you say you’re literally fighting against fascism and the end of democracy/worse outcomes that I can’t describe on this app, but you are willing to potentially give your political opponent the win if the Democrats don’t cater to your tastes, it kind of says one of two things that either number one you’re lying about the threat in which case you’re dishonest or number two you’re not lying about the threat in which case you’re being willfully cruel. It’s a Catch-22 because there’s no correct answer.
