I’ll never forget the day my vet randomly called me just to say thank you to me for being a good client and for listening to his advice and following the right aftercare (horse with an infected molar that had to be surgically removed, which is major and very expensive for horses) it honestly broke my heart a little bit that he felt the need to thank me for just being a decent person and that I was thankful for him helping my horse, it was literally the bare minimum that I am grateful and kind to my vets, my beloved animals wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for them.

I’m so sorry lovely. Please talk to someone professionally because this stuff bottles up and we feel to our core. I can tell you care so so so much and this is a great trait. Please look after yourself ❤️I work in a busy GP/hospital and sometimes the most awful stuff comes through the door that just rocks you to your core. I try to leave work at work but sometimes you just can’t. Take a day off if you need just to feel and process no shame in that. Veterinary medicine is HARD. Your doing an amazing job 💕

I took my 17 year old dog to SASH in Kent Town last year because he was non stop shaking. I honestly had no idea it would turn into a conversation about putting him down and I was not prepared at all. Let me tell you the vets there are AMAZING. They gently guided me to realising how sick he was, and still made me feel like the decision was my own. They let me take my time and were just so empathetic. I left SASH without my old boy, but fully believing I made the right decision thanks to those vets and vet nurses. I also left feeling like the weight these vet and vet nurses hold is enormous - regularly watching extreme emotions and sadness when our pets are sick and being put down. You guys do amazing work all the time, and it must be extremely frustrating to see so much irresponsible pet ownership when you also see the repercussions from it. There are people out there who appreciate vets/ver nurses and all you do, and I’m one of them ❤️

People like everyone you have mentioned truly do not deserve to own beautiful animals. We truly need to be able to make rational and logical decisions to ensure animals are safe and/or not suffering.
