The Ferby gave me a permanent fear of having technology in the same room as where I slept. At the age of 35 I still can't bring an Alexa in my bedroom or leave my laptop in my bedroom when I sleep. I even charge my phone in a drawer 😂 God forbid it start to talk in the middle of the night- I'll have flashbacks.

My sister got left at the bowling alley at one of our birthday parties. My mom realized blocks away when she did a head count, she didn't do a head count in the parking lot, she did it blocks away.

my mom picked me and my sister up from school and then wouldn't answer her cell phone when the school called (after she had already picked BOTH of US up) 'cause she'd use up her minutes and "if it's important, they'll leave a voicemail." and the voicemail was literally just me crying, 'cause she left me at school 😭😂
