Trouble is they don’t keep moisture out. They have had a facsimile of those for years but if you can’t keep salt,deicer out you will be replacing all of it within a year or less

In my experience, any sort of clamp on wire connector is junk. They allow moisture and anything else that wants in to fall directly on the circuit of your, whatever you’re splicing into. Just bunt splice, heat shrink and call it a day 🤙

It’s a fancy scotch lock. So for those that don’t know about scotch locks, yes they are easy to use. They also corrode very fast and will cause more issues later on.

It’s a new scotch lock that has been used at least 30 years! Anytime your lights are not working go straight to scotch lock and you will find the problem
