@crmnallyobsessed: A Rhode Island man is facing serious charges after a minor accused him of grooming through multiple online games and social media apps. Police say 29-year-old Justin Adkins contacted the minor in 2024 while playing Fortnite. He then began further contact through the hit game, Roblox, before exchanging numbers and talking on Snapchat. According to authorities, Adkins convinced the victim they were in a romantic relationship and coerced the victim into creating and sending hundreds of pornographic pictures and videos. The Florida Attorney General’s Office said Adkins used gifts such as a new iPhone or game currency on Fortnite and Roblox to manipulate the victim. The victim eventually contacted police to report Adkins. Adkins was arrested in Warwick, Rhode Island and will be extradited to Florida for his alleged crimes. Adkins is facing various charges including using a child in a sexual performance and 13 counts of unlawful possession of materials depicting sexual performance by a child.
