Hate how D10 isn't stocked. The MDs don't get that we have to wait sometimes an hour plus to get a bag from pharmacy and they get mad at us. Makes it tricky when you have someone on DKA protocol with IV insulin

The breakthrough on scheduled pain meds is so tricky as a nurse. I always gave prn doses when needed but sometimes would get yelled at for giving them too close to a scheduled dose, despite no parameters.

my pet peeve is finding out a nurse told the pt that their scheudled dose of SR hydromorphone is coming right up so they dont want to give the IR. ummm my man thats not going to help their break through pain.
