Your subjective opinions have no value. There is no peak of evolution; something better always comes along. The reign of mammals, like other living things, will never be forever, perhaps longer, perhaps shorter. The pressure of natural selection keeps the fittest alive. The creatures that once ruled the world have become extinct, but some are still here. With a class (aves) that has twice as much biodiversity, mammals can never be the pinnacle of anything.
