I prayed so hard for a sign from God that he would show me if this person was right for me, deep down knowing he wasn’t. And the next day I met a friend who spoke to me in a way that opened my eyes. Ended it that day.

You know, I can't disagree with you. I am not religious, but I can tell you that after I experienced being up close a personal with that sort of evil, it is very clear that something spiritual is going on. I had that exact same thought that evil is ancient, and it will be with humanity as long as we exist. It has it's own language. It is profoundly eye opening. That evil is very clever and has such potential, but it is forever damned because it can't or refuses to self reflect. That's why it is forever the same, using the same playbook for eternity. This is why light and truth will always overcome evil because evil refuses to learn from mistakes and grow. Truth keeps it's humanity because it doesn't deny it's own wrong doings, it reflects and owns them. Evil kills it's humanity, and therefore has to mimic it. It becomes the walking dead, a souless machine without the components that make humanity what it is. And if evil could be honest with itself, it would tell you it evnys what it lacks. That's why it hates humanity so much. It literally wants to take the light from others. It is all so deep and honestly scary. I had no idea what evil was until I encountered it.
