By carrying him on your forearm, face down, he will most of the time burp on his own, just bounce smoothly by doing little steps. It has to come from your feet and not your arm. By smoothly compressing the chest. pulling your hands down and pumping smoothly, it will create a pressure on the stomach which leads to a nice burp. In many cases, baby might go it after feeding or burping, or has difficulties burping and gets really upset. It is usually a sign of mechanical imbalances which will be easily managed by a competent osteopath.
