Last week, the federal government confirmed it's cutting $5 billion from public transit funding — and when we shared the news online, people were NOT HAPPY. And rightfully so! It's a serious setback for communities across Canada. These cuts will hurt transit users and directly undermine our climate commitments and affordability goals at exactly the wrong time. Public transportation is so much more than just buses and trains. It's an environmental and social justice issue! ➡️Many families depend on transit. Funding public transit means reliable service for those who need it most. ➡️Not everyone can afford a car.
