I work in HR. We need documents like these to prove someone is eligible to work in the US. It sounds easy to get, but it’s harder than you would think. Some people really struggle to get these documents.

just food for thought, my mother, if this bill passes will need a copy of her first marriage certificate from the 80s. what possible reason is there for the law to be written in a way that ts would be necessary

The irony of this is the GOP was against Motor Voter laws back in the 90s...Which was voter registration at the DMV, you know were people went to get licenses and ID...🙄🙄🙄

I think it's very sensible if it's paired with funding to every state to give to poll places so that anyone can get any 1 or 2 of the necessary documents to prove they're eligible to vote. Also every citizen should automatically be registered when they turn 18.
