@katefisherrr: I haven’t heard of any other parents going through this and I’m so stressed over it #twinmom #twintoddlers #sleepregression #sleeptipsforparents
I’m not a mom hahaha but have you ever tried separating them when they sleep? Maybe they’re kinda feeding off of each other? Just a random thought I’ve never had a baby let alone twins 😂🩷

You’re not doing anything wrong. Few things. Do you use a sound machine? Maybe try different wording so they get a new safe association. Would you separate them vs putting them together ?

My twins went through a really hard time around 14months to 16 months and eventually one climbed out of his crib so we were forced to transition out of cribs and immediately they started sleeping better!!! I wonder if you could try a floor mattress so they can sleep together! We have toddler beds plus a full sized floor mattress and they literally only ever sleep together on the floor mattress, so I think they just way prefer sleeping together

I have one year-old twins and a two-year-old. Consistency is key. My two-year-old is very clever, so I’m sure if I would have sometimes stayed with her to help her go to sleep or pop in and out, then I’m sure she would scream to get me to stay with her. But I have never stayed with her, so I’m sure she knows that that’s not an option. If I were you, I would just cold turkey stop staying with them and popping in and out. I know that sounds harsh but I think that’s probably the only way you’re going to get the screaming to stop.❤️I don’t think it will take very long for your twins, too realize once you consistently stay out

Maybe try separating them? It seems that they feed off of each other? Night lights & sleepy tonies! My twins sleep in twin bed now (they just turned 3) but the music calms them & they can relax. We like the lamb & the red cat!

I wonder if they would do this is they were separated. maybe try them in different areas, put a crib in the dining room with a slumber pod if you don’t have an extra bedroom to test the theory.

Tis the age for testing boundaries 😫 is there a way to separate them? They might do better w/o feeding off each other.

I have this exact same routine with my son and if I put him to bed , the second he hits the crib and I say night night he loses it. When dad does it, not a peep 😅

Maybe get rid of the cribs! We did floor beds around 2.5 and they are 3.5 now and still take 2 hour naps. Bedtime is still chaotic but at least nap time is good lol

I’m not a mom but maybe if your husband puts them to bed it might be better? I know as a nanny a different person putting them to bed that they’re still familiar with sometimes helps.

totally normal at that age! its tough. if you wanted too, you could try to sit in their room with them until they fall asleep. its about that age that they can start to have dreams and so its kind of tricky. also, try a nightlight!! it can help them not be as scared when they wake up during the night. you're doing great!! its a normal stage or development!

1 i would definitely ask chat gpt, 2 i am only mom to a 6m old but maybe at this age you can sleep train ? like say goodnight, leave right away , set a timer, come back in give them a pat or something , start screaming again set another timer for a couple min longer ? if you look up this method on chat gpt im sure it can help you!

My son is 21 months and he had a few weeks where he was sad when we put him down which is not the norm for him. So many factors, I think he had also been having night terrors so I think he was scared. I started by holding his hand when he would fall asleep for a few days and then I would sit in the room for a few days and then I would tell him I was going to be just outside the door and I would stand on the other side of the door and say “mommy’s here”. It took like 2 weeks but we are back to our normal sleep habits.

My 18month old has slept in his crib through the night since 8months….1 thing I do if I can tell he’s fussy and not going to sleep right away is put my shirt in there that I’ve wore throughout the day. Being able to smell that I’m close helps.
