I wish more women understood that having a partner to have a child is COMPLETELY OPTIONAL. The narrative that it takes two parents to raise a child is outdated and in A LOT of cases, not as good of a scenario as raising your child alone.

I have had a few few women in my orbit who have chosen as you have-they were successful women and are successful women and just never met the right man. Having said that now two of the children are in their 30s my other friend has one in her late teens. All of them have grown up functional productive, full of joy, highly intelligent, and did not suffer from lack of a husband in the house.
