So the car was stolen twice? The tow company and then the salvage yard that bought it? It was saved in the nick of time before that VIN was reported as junked to the Fed database or is the salvage yard also not doing that?

honestly, id rather lose my house before I lost my car. you lose soooo much independence when you lose your method of transportation. especially for ppl like me who live over an hour from work.

did anyone have the security gard charged and the tow yeard charss with auto theft. the fact that the tow yard would not return the car and they sold it to copart makes it grand theft auto. tow companies are required to hold it fo a specific amout of time before it's declined abandoned, and they cant legaly refuse to return if if the years fee will be paid. I am sure there is a lawyer that will go after both of them probono, and the stat would be willing to revoke the tow companies license ro operate in the state.
