also, letting go of the shame of being lazy helps you bounce back. you can always try again tomorrow.

I wish I had realized this earlier. I did the supposed financially responsible thing and bought the small house in the neighborhood I could afford which meant being 30 miles away from the nearest major city, in an area that's not walkable, instead of thinking about where I actually wanted to be. Now I barely leave the couch anymore because there's just nothing here worth doing.

Exactly why I moved to Buenos Aires because there’s literally a butcher shop and farmers market on literally every corner of every block and everything is walking distance and back home I hated driving everywhere and I’ve been able to focus on my passions now.

driving to gym never made sense to me like just go out side your house and walk. or do some squats at home. don't want weird strangers looking at me and judging me anyway

I read "Finding Your Third Place" and that book did not help me find my third place. Your video made it all make sense! Everyone should watch this!

Walkability and good weather is so important and wonderfully life changing. but we do pay for it, I fear. if you have both it is def a privilege which is why I will always be screaming about urban planning, sustainability, food and environmental equity from the top of my lungs! Not to mentioned that the areas is safe to walk through because there is a difference between walkable and safety walkable, pertaining to traffic/structural and human threats.

This was me being fully remote, could go days without leaving the house. Ended up getting a part time job to force me out of the house and it improved my energy and social life so much.

yes!!! I got a job that helps the community and that I *have* to do at a good quality bc every day I have to face the people who are counting on me, in a city where I *have* to walk at least a few miles every day just to live my basic life. the baseline for even my least productive days isn’t so bad.
