Oldest daughter here, wanted kids until I was 16 and had my wisdom teeth removed and my mum says "If you can't handle that pain you're not gonna handle childbirth". That may have been my sparking moment but over the years I understood more and more what raising a kid meant and what it included. I realised I'm not the best person for that role. The funny thing is my own mother has called me selfish for not wanting kids but doesn't seem to realise that her statement was the catalyst

As a mother, I love the list. Sure it’s geared towards CFBC people, but the things that make the list also remind me that I am not alone in my experiences as a parent in how my body changed and the behaviors of my kids. If I want a “positive” list, I will just look at pictures of my kids.

I am 9 months pregnant, I love the list, and I believe what we really need is information. We cannot make informed decisions until we know variables and risks. The girl with the list is using facts and she's reinforcing her decision with those. I did lots of research and decided to be a mother anyway. We need to be informed, know the risks and understand fully that The System won't protect or support mothers.

I think the list is not negative at all, it is actually informative and clarify all the things behind closed door that we have not been informed about, no one talks about so many side effects of pregnancy and people should have known about it, and i mean people, included women and men

I've been happily childfree for as long as I can remember but that doesn't stop me being enraged at how society treats mothers & I will always try & help them or be there for them. I have a sneaking suspicion pitting as against each other is just good old 'divide & conquer', we would be more powerful working together to better society & each others lives.

I personally enjoy parenthood, but I'm very aware that it is not for everyone and would never try to convince anyone else to have children. It changes your whole life, socially, physically, psychologically, financially. There's absolutely nothing wrong with not wanting that.

I don't think the creator meant it that seriously, she is just trying to help new moms feel comfortable and confident. I'm childfree but its important to support all women and I don't understand why the creator is getting so much hate for her positive video.
