Click the link in the @allrecipes bio to get the full recipe. ⤴️ Ingredients: 2 sticks butter, softened 1 1/3 cups sugar 2 eggs 1 1/2 cups flour 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup evaporated milk 1 lemon, zested and juiced Directions: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8x4-inch loaf pan. Beat together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, then beat in the eggs one at a time. Combine the flour and salt and add a third to the butter-sugar mixture. Add half the evaporated milk, then half of the remaining dry ingredients, the rest of the milk, and the rest of the dry ingredients. Stir in the lemon zest and juice, then pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. The cake will be shrinking in from the sides of the pan. Let the cake cool for a few minutes in the pan, then turn it out onto a rack.
